Remove encroachment campaign in Bikramganj subdivision headquarters: More than 150 illegal shops removed, main road widened from 15 to 60 feet

Encroachment removal campaign was conducted on Monday at Bikramganj subdivision headquarters of Rohtas district. Amid heavy deployment of police force, about 150 shops were evacuated by the administration from different routes of Bikramganj Municipal Council area, and the encroachment was demolished and removed. The main road of the city has become 60 feet wide from 15 feet after the removal of hut-like shops and kiosks.

CO Bikramganj was present as a magistrate in the anti-encroachment campaign. The administration is preparing to remove the encroachment on a large scale this time. The main roads of the city have been widened, so that the journey from Tenduni Chowk to Thana Chowk, which used to take hours due to traffic jam, can be reached in just a few minutes.

The SP said that after the widening of the main road in the district headquarters Sasaram, the problem of jam has been resolved. Now, to solve the problem of jam in the Bikramganj subdivision headquarters, a campaign to remove encroachments is being run. This campaign will continue even further. Road widening work will be done after the encroachment is completely removed.
