Remove encroachment campaign in Aurangabad: Administration removes retail shopkeepers, appeals not to park vehicles on roadside

In Aurangabad, a drive to remove encroachments was conducted in Aurangabad Municipal Council area on Tuesday. Due to which there was a stir among the encroachers. The encroachers started running away carrying their belongings here and there. Under the said campaign, encroachments were removed on both sides from Ramesh Chowk to Jama Masjid. Sidewalk shops were removed from the road. At the same time, strict instructions were given to handcart drivers and street vendors.

Many goods were also seized during this period by the officials of the city council. The roads remained completely empty on both sides during the campaign. However, within an hour of the end of the campaign, the pavement shops on both sides of the road were decorated again. At the same time, the cart vendors also set up their carts on the road itself. Due to which the problem of jam started arising again. The encroachment removal campaign was run under the leadership of Lavkush Kumar, junior engineer of the city council.

The constables of the city police station were also present in this. It was told by the junior engineer that strict instructions have been given to the encroachers. It is forbidden to set up handcarts and footpath shops on the road. Even after this, strict action will be taken if footpath shops and handcarts are set up on the road. The goods will be confiscated. Along with this, the case will also be registered. The junior engineer also appealed to the people reaching the city not to park their vehicles on the road. This causes the problem of jam.
