Senior IPS officer Rajwinder Singh Bhatti took charge as the 53rd DGP of Bihar on Monday night itself. He reached Patna late in the evening. Several police officers including Patna’s SSP Manavjit Singh Dhillon had arrived at the airport to receive him. Shortly after this, he reached the police headquarters. Where he met senior IPS officer Sanjeev Kumar Singhal, who is retiring today from the police job. Then took charge of the post of DGP from him. Signed the paper to take charge.
After this he sat on the chair of DGP of Bihar. IPS Rajwinder Singh Bhatti is a 1990 batch IPS officer. On Sunday itself, the Home Department of the Government of Bihar issued a notification appointing Rajwinder Singh Bhatti as the new DGP of Bihar. Now on the very second day, he took charge as well. Prior to this he was on Central Deputation. He was holding the post of ADG in the Eastern Command of BSF. His image has been as a very strict police officer.

Farewell given to ex DGP
On the other hand, ex-DGP Sanjeev Kumar was also given farewell from the police headquarters. A function was organized at the police headquarters. In which the new DGP was also included. On this occasion, ADG Headquarters Jitendra Singh Gangwar honored Sanjeev Kumar Singhal and Rajwinder Singh Bhatti with saplings and shawls. Several officers of the police headquarters were present on the spot. This program was conducted by DIG Administration Vikas Burman. However, earlier in the day, a farewell ceremony was also organized for Sanjeev Kumar Singhal at Mithilesh Stadium, BSAP Ground.
