Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday transferred Rs 146.74 crore to the bank accounts of more than 5.91 lakh Palanhar beneficiaries of the state through Direct Benefit Transfer. In this, Rs 59.38 crore was given to 5 lakh 92 thousand 630 beneficiaries in the month of June and Rs 87.36 crore to 5 lakh 91 thousand 730 beneficiaries in the month of July. CM Gehlot said at the state level beneficiary dialogue function at Chief Minister’s residence that assistance is being provided to the beneficiaries in different categories. An additional burden of about Rs 300 crore will come from increasing the amount of assistance. He said that instead of discontinuing the Palanhar scheme started in the previous government, we have increased the amount and categories of assistance. Due to this, proper care, protection and education of children is being ensured in the family itself. These children will grow up and contribute significantly in the progress of the state and the country.

Chief Minister Gehlot said that this scheme is an innovative initiative. We are making it stronger. It is the responsibility of all of us that not a single eligible child should be deprived of the scheme. Talking to the beneficiaries, he said that it is the responsibility of all of us to make the bright future and golden dreams of the children come true. The state government will cooperate fully in this. He said that Mahatma Gandhi should teach common children in government English medium schools. The Chief Minister should take them forward by preparing them under the free coaching scheme. The state government is sending promising children to study abroad through the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence scheme.

Prime Minister should implement social security law

CM Gehlot said that the previous central government implemented the right to food, employment, education and information uniformly throughout the country. Similarly, we have made a provision of minimum one thousand rupees under social security pension in Rajasthan. Now the central government should also provide financial support to the needy by implementing social security law in the whole country. He said that with the right to health, he has taken the responsibility of the health of the people of the state. Will strengthen it further.

 

Chief Minister’s interaction with the beneficiaries

Chief Minister Gehlot interacted with the children of different districts regarding their future. On the feelings of all the children, the Chief Minister encouraged them and asked them to study. The government will leave no stone unturned to fulfill your dreams. On the other hand, the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for transferring the increased amount under public welfare schemes and Palanhar Yojana directly to their accounts. CM Gehlot said that take advantage of the schemes by registering in inflation relief camps as well. At the function, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Tikaram Julie said that about 6 lakh children are being nurtured through this scheme. Eligible Categories of Palanhar Scheme

Orphaned children, children sentenced to death by judicial process, children of parents sentenced to life imprisonment, children of widowed mothers receiving pension, children of remarried widowed mothers, children of parents suffering from HIV/AIDS, leprosy Children of parents suffering from Silicosis, children of parents suffering from Silicosis, children of specially abled parents, children of divorced or abandoned women receiving pension, children of parents suffering from silicosis are eligible for the scheme.

A grant amount of Rs 1500 per month is given to children in the age group of 0-6 in the orphan category and Rs 2500 per month to children in the age group of 6-18. According to the state government’s budget announcement 2023-24, in the Palanhar Yojana, in addition to the orphan category, Rs 750 per month for children aged 0 to 6 years and Rs 1500 per month for children aged 6 to 18 years was given. . Along with this, an additional Rs 2000 is being given every year for clothes, sweaters, shoes etc. It is mandatory for children to go to Anganwadi or school in this scheme.
