The rain has ruined the enthusiasm and excitement of Durga Puja. In and around the puja pandals, where there is a situation of water logging due to rain, the biggest loss has been caused to the hawkers and retail shopkeepers who came to earn in the fair. We can say that the rains have spoiled the wishes of the poor in Madhepura. A grand fair is organized on the occasion of Durga Puja at many places in Madhepura.

In this, small retailers, along with food items, games and toys etc., open shops. The income of this fair works to fulfill many of their dreams. But due to the continuous rain since this morning, water has become water everywhere. Many shopkeepers have opened shops for food, drink and sports toys in the fair to be held in Madhepura Gaushala premises. Their shops have been flooded due to rain. Sonu Kumar has opened a hotel here with his father.

Father Yogendra Sah tells that he had come to open a shop in the fair with goods worth 50 thousand. Opened a shop after spending 70 to 80 thousand, took 35 thousand rupees loan, now the goods have been ruined and the debt burden is separate. In opening a toy shop with Chowmein, Burger, Agarol etc., Santosh Kumar says that he opened a fast food shop by putting 17 thousand rupees and 35,000 for the toy, but the weather spoiled every wish.

Ashish Kumar, a member of the Mela Organizing Committee, in view of the pain of the shopkeepers, requested the Gaushala Committee to waive their rent. He said that the condition of such shopkeepers was already dilapidated due to the two-year corona closure. Rain and bad weather brought another thunderbolt on them.
