Raid on the premises of JE of Purnia Municipal Corporation: raids on Shivshankar’s premises in disproportionate assets case, cash and jewelery recovered from the house

Once again SVU has taken a big action in Purnia. The team of Special Vigilance Unit took JE Shivshankar Singh of Municipal Corporation into custody. The team reached Shivshankar Singh’s personal residence in Shivaji Colony and ancestral house in Saharsa on Friday morning and investigated in the disproportionate case. A total of 14 members are involved in the raid.

The surveillance team has also recovered a huge amount of cash from Shivshankar’s house. It is estimated that this amount is more than 50 lakhs. Although there is no official confirmation. SVU says cash counting is going on. Apart from this, land papers, bank passbooks and cash, jewelery and investment papers kept in the bank’s locker have been recovered by surveillance. The monitoring department team is continuously interrogating the accused Shivshankar Singh.

It is being told that Shivshankar Singh also has a luxurious house in Patna, where surveillance is also being investigated. In a short span of time, he has amassed immense wealth disproportionate to his income. The monitoring department was getting complaints about this continuously. Surveillance first ranked Shivshankar, then suddenly attacked. The monitoring team has now taken Shivshankar to the bank and has gone to investigate the locker. Shivshankar Singh has been working in the Municipal Corporation for about 25 years. He was accused of corruption.

Earlier, SVU raid took place at the whereabouts of IPS Daya Shankar and Thanedar

Purnia SP Daya Shankar was doing corruption on a large scale. Property worth 90 lakhs and jewelery worth 63 lakhs were found in the raid. Many people were supporting them in earning and consuming black money. In which Purnia Sadar police station Sanjay Kumar Singh, SP reader Neeraj Kumar Singh, telephone duty constable Sawan Kumar and Patna builder Sanjeev Kumar are included.

The Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) conducted simultaneous raids on a total of 7 locations from their Patna to Purnia. The team of SVU felt a lot in this big action taken on Tuesday. According to the senior official, SP Daya Shankar was playing the game of money laundering in association with the builder. Later on SVU can confiscate their property.
