PM Modi said to Rishi Sunak – Ensure the security of the embassy, ​​talk about bringing economic criminals to India

There was a phone conversation between PM Modi and Rishi Sunak. During the dialogue, Prime Minister Modi invited his British counterpart Sunak to visit India. PM Modi talked about many important bilateral issues along with inviting him to attend the G20 Summit in September 2023.

Among the important issues discussed between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK PM Rishi Sunak, the fugitive economic criminals of India taking refuge in Britain and the recent attack on the embassy were the main issues.

According to news agency ANI report about British PM and Prime Minister Modi’s conversation, PM Modi raised the issue of security of Indian diplomatic establishments (Embassy) in UK. He called for strict action against anti-India elements.

A few months ago, Rishi Sunak, who became Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, told PM Modi, Britain considers the attack on the Indian High Commission completely unacceptable and assures the safety of the Indian mission and its personnel.

PM Modi also raised the issue of economic criminals taking refuge in Britain. He demanded progress on the return of these fugitives so that these criminals could be brought to book under the Indian judicial system.

Significantly, this year India is presiding over the conference of G20 countries. Many programs are also being organized in this regard across the country. Efforts are being made to bring India’s strength and its diversity to the global stage.

In this series, Prime Minister Modi invited PM Sunak for the G20 summit to be held in September 2023. PM Sunak appreciated the progress made under India’s chairmanship of G20. He assured the UK’s full support for India’s initiatives and their success.
