Patna’s SSP Manavjit Singh Dhillon has been promoted. His promotion has now been done from SP rank to DIG. Along with him, the state government has also made his wife and SSP Gaya Harpreet Kaur as DIG. Including these two, a total of 7 IPS officers have got promotion in DIG rank. A notification has been issued by the Home Department late on Friday evening.

Apart from these, the state government has promoted 4 IPS officers of IG level to the rank of ADG. In which IG of Prohibition Unit Amrit Raj, his wife and Special Secretary of Home Department KS Anupam, MR Nayak and Ratna Sanjay Katiyar who went on central deputation have got promotion in ADG rank.

At the same time, 9 IPS including IPS Manu Maharaj, who went on central deputation, have been promoted from DIG to IG by the state government. Apart from all these, there are 11 such IPS officers who have been promoted in salary grade. The promotion of all these will be applicable from January 1, 2023. After this promotion, the state government will also transfer and posting police officers.
