International Heritage Peace Walk was taken out in collaboration with Ministry of Tourism, Government of India from Koleshwar Temple located in Valmiki Nagar. It was inaugurated by MLA Dhirendra Pratap alias Rinku Singh. Dr. Kaulesh Kumar, a member of the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, told that Valmiki Nagar will become the main center of tourism not only in India and Nepal, but for the whole of Asia.
He said that the name of Valmiki Nagar was heard. When I got a chance to see Valmiki Nagar closely, I felt that it has a perfect resource for tourism. He said that our organization is spread in 25 countries, especially in the countries of South East Asia, message will reach in all these countries under this program. With this, tourism will increase in the coming season.
Tourism is essential for the development of the state
Bettiah District Officer Kundan Kumar told the tourists that the government is making efforts for the development of the state. The construction of convention hall in Valmiki Nagar, the most modern tourist spot of India in Amvaman, the development of 50 acres for tourism in Rampurwa etc. will prove to be important in the development of tourism. On this occasion, the MLA was flagged off by showing banner posters with the slogan Dekho Apna Desh, Jal Hi Jeevan Hai along with Atithi Devo Bhava: Adi Slogan.
In the meantime, tourists and local people were told to ride, decorate and preserve the historical and religious heritage of Kauleshwar Mahadev Temple and Valmiki Ashram, Nar Devi Temple etc. built in the 12th century. During this, tour guides Manoj and Abhishek, who came from Kushinagar, local guides, intellectuals along with officials were present.
