The party of Union Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras has raised many questions at once, calling the liquor prohibition law implemented in Bihar a failure. The state government has been directly put in the dock. Party’s national spokesperson Shravan Agarwal has written a letter to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in this matter.
Along with the problems being faced by the Dalits and the poor due to the prohibition law, many important things have been written through a total of 22 points. Making the allegation, Shravan Aggarwal said that so far the liquor ban in the state has been a complete failure. But, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar does not want to accept the truth. The state has suffered a lot due to Nitish Kumar’s liquor ban model.
After the implementation of the prohibition law in April 2016, till now the state government has amended this law twice and many times the Chief Minister also held a review meeting on this law. But, till now the government has not been able to get any positive result in implementing the liquor prohibition law in a concrete manner. Due to this law, a large number of poor and downtrodden people are imprisoned in jail. The problem is that they are not getting any surety.
These things are mentioned in the letter
The 22 points on which Shravan Agarwal has written a letter to the Chief Minister. In it, there has been a demand for legal aid from the state government for the release of the poor and downtrodden in jail, who are not getting the zamindars. Who are lodged in different jails of Bihar. Raising the question, the Chief Minister has been asked that the review meeting of liquor ban was held by you two days ago.
In this, it was emphasized that the police administration and excise department should take special action against those who make and smuggle it more than the drinkers. Doesn’t this create a contradiction in the matter of prohibition law? The national spokesperson alleges that this makes it clear that the prohibition law in the state is a complete failure.
