Murdered young man with a weapon in Nalanda: Dead body recovered from river, uncle accused of murder for money

He took the youth from home from Baijnathpur village of Manpur police station area under Nalanda district. After that, he was murdered and beaten to death with a sharp weapon. On Monday, his body was recovered from near the bridge of Kumbhari river, 2 km from the village. The deceased Shashibhushan Prasad’s (18) year old son is Chandrasen Kumar alias Sonal. The father has accused his real brother Alikesh Prasad of murder.

The father told that a young man from the village, Monu, was coming to his house for three-four days. On Sunday evening, he called Sonal and took him with him. Since then his son has not returned. On Monday, the villagers informed them after seeing the dead body near the Kumbhari bridge. His son was badly beaten up. There are many scars on the body and on the face. It looks like the body has been hit with a sharp object.

The father says that his brother often asks for money. Brother says that money is needed for mother’s treatment. Because of this he often quarrels with them. He is a man of wrong nature. He sent the youth of the village and called his son and brutally murdered him.

Manpur Police Station said that after the post-mortem, the body has been handed over to the family members. The uncle is being charged with murder. FIR will be lodged on receipt of written application. The police is investigating the matter
