A person was murdered by slitting his throat in Garhua Rampur under Kudhni police station area of Muzaffarpur district. The villagers came to know about the incident on Tuesday morning. A large number of people gathered. There was blood on the post and on the ground where he slept. On getting information, police reached the spot and investigated the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Jha (35). He used to work in a drug store in SKMCH. The locals and the relatives of the deceased accused Sanjay’s wife Julie Devi, neighbor Amit and his family members of murder. Police have taken three people into custody including the wife of the deceased. Further action is being taken after inquiry.

Lalan Jha, the kin of the deceased, told that Sanjay’s wife was having an illicit relationship with neighbor and brother-in-law Amit. Together they had extorted lakhs of rupees from Sanjay. When Sanjay came to know about this illicit relationship, he started protesting. When he was sleeping at night, the accused entered the house and brutally murdered him. When Sanjay’s son Ankush and wife woke up in the morning, they saw that the whole blood was splattered. He was lying on the post in an unconscious condition. Ankush said that he and his mother started making noise after seeing this horrifying scene. Then the people around gathered. He doesn’t know what happened in the night. They were sleeping soundly.
FSL team will investigate
Kudhni Thanedar said that on the basis of suspicion, three people including the wife of the deceased and brother of her lover Amit have been taken into custody. The inquiry and verification process is going on. The FSL team was also called. The team will come here and investigate from its level. The exercise of FIR is being done by recording the statement of the family members. The body has been taken in possession and sent for postmortem.
