Smriti said during The Ranveer Show that I had borrowed money from the bank to buy a house. This loan was of 25 to 27 lakh rupees. When I was just about to leave to pay the down payment to buy my house, I remember one day someone came to my set and offered me a paan masala ad and I gave the money to the bank. It was exactly 10 times the amount.

Smriti Irani said that I refused to do the advertisement, then people treated me as if I had gone completely mad. My acquaintances told me are you mad, you need money. Smriti Irani said that I knew that the family was watching me on TV, the youth were watching.
If a family member is seen selling pan masala
I said that can you imagine a person who is thinking of becoming like the character whom the family members consider ideal, suddenly he is seen selling pan masala.
I am happy that I have given a safe environment to the children
I refused even the water companies that used to make alcohol. They have therefore made controversial decisions in my acting career mainly because I knew kids were watching on TV. So today as a senior, I am happy to hear youngsters saying that as a child I made them feel safe.
