Asha worker molested in Aurangabad
In Malhad village of Bandeya police station area of Goh block of Aurangabad, a case of attempt to murder came to light while molesting an ASHA worker. While registering an FIR on the statement of the victim and the police station, the accused has been arrested and sent to jail. In the application given in the police station, Asha worker Shila Kumari, wife of Satish Kumar, resident of Malhad village, was returning home after doing duty in Goh PHC like every day.
As soon as it was about 50 yards away from his house in the village that the allegation that at the same time, Bal Krishna Sao, son of Akhilesh Saw of the village, stopped Shila on the way and caught him in his arms using abusive words. When Asha protested, she threw her in a nearby drain and strangled her with the intention of killing her. When the victim screamed, Daisy Kumari, the niece of the house, reached the spot and somehow saved her life by rescuing her aunt.
Bandeya police did not reach even two days after the incident
The victim alleged that since the time of the incident, continuous calls were made to the Bandeya police station but the SHO did not consider it appropriate to pick up the phone. When the victim’s family dialed 112, the police personnel reached the spot and arrested the accused. However, the Bandeya police did not reach the spot even after two days of the incident.
The FIR took place after the intervention of the SP
The victim alleged that when she went with her family to the police station with the application, the station head misbehaved and refused to take the application. When the Aurangabad SP was informed through the phone, the SHO took the application. It is alleged that the ASI of the police station, Ajit Kumar, called the police station and continued to pressurize the victim’s family to manage and withdraw the application. When action was demanded by the victim, an FIR was finally registered.
SHO said the allegation to be baseless
Terming this allegation as baseless, SHO Ramayan Kumar said that an FIR has been registered as soon as the victim applied for it. The same ASI Ajit Kumar also called the allegation baseless. Also said that I did not pressurize by calling the victim, but called for information.
