Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday said ‘varna’ and ‘caste’ should be completely abolished. Speaking at a book release program in Nagpur, he said that the caste system has no relevance now.
Quoting the recently released book “Vajrasuchi Tunk” by Dr. Madan Kulkarni and Dr. Renuka Bokare, Mohan Bhagwat said that social equality was a part of Indian tradition, but it was forgotten and it had harmful consequences.
The RSS chief said that whatever causes discrimination should be thrown out of the system. He also said that the previous generations made mistakes everywhere, including in India. Bhagwat further said that there is no problem in accepting the mistakes that our ancestors have committed.
Visited Madrasa Masjid last month
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat held a meeting with several clerics in September and also visited a mosque and madrasa in Delhi. After which he said that minorities are not in danger, Hindutva organizations will continue to work to eliminate their fear.
Law made on population, said how many people the environment can feed
On the occasion of Vijayadashami, Mohan Bhagwat spoke on population at the foundation day function of RSS in Nagpur. Mohan Bhagwat said, right balance of population is necessary in the country. We have to keep in mind that how many people the environment of our country can feed, how many people can it sustain. It is not just a question of the country. There is also the question of the mother giving birth. He said that there should be a comprehensive policy of population, it should be applicable to all. No one should be exempted from that policy.
