In Purnia, once again the matter of selling MDM’s rice to the children in a government school has come to the fore. Dozens of villagers have given an application to the DM on Monday demanding an inquiry into the matter. The villagers have made a serious allegation against the headmaster and the cook of the school itself for secretly selling MD’s rice. The matter is of Adarshnagar, Champanagar under Kenagar block of Purnia district.

The news of MDM selling rice secretly spread like fire in the village. Angry villagers created ruckus by locking the main gate of the school. After a lot of persuasion and hard efforts by the members of the school committee, the villagers were pacified by convincing them. Villagers told that school headmaster Amrendra Jaiswal and cook Gunja Devi often secretly sell children’s morsels MDM’s rice.

Even before this, this type of incident has happened many times. Every time the headmaster made a serious allegation of tricking the villagers by saying that such incidents would not happen after this. On last Saturday also, the cook Gunja Devi was caught by the villagers while taking two sacks of 20-20 kg rice outside the gate. Seeing the uproar, he kept the rice in the store room and locked it and both the headmaster and the cook ran away from the school. The villagers have appealed to the DM for justice by accusing both the headmaster and the cook of selling and embezzling MDM’s rice.

The same when Amarendra Jaiswal, Principal of Adarsh ​​Middle School was asked in this regard, he called the allegation baseless. The headmaster told that no such incident has happened in the school. When asked to show the stock registration, it was told that the registration is at his residence.
