The body of a 30-year-old woman was recovered from her house in Pupri, Sitamarhi on Thursday night. The whole case is of Anandpuri locality located on Jhajihat Road of Pupri police station area, where the blood-soaked body of Savita Devi, 30-year-old wife of Ranjit Mittal, was found. There is a mark of a cut with a sharp weapon at various places on the body of the deceased. The wrist vein of both the hands is cut. The same wound was also found on his stomach. A blade was found in the verandah near the body.

The police of Pupri police station, who reached the information of the incident, has started investigating the matter. The police have informed the family members of the deceased Savita. Inspector Shashibhushan Singh has refused to divulge anything about the incident at the moment. It is not clear whether Savita is murder or suicide. However, the police are waiting for the statement of the family members.
What did the husband of the deceased say
The husband of the deceased, Ranjit, told that he had gone to the market at 6 pm after watching a cricket match in his house. When he reached the second floor of his residence late in the evening, the gate was closed. Even after giving voice, the wife’s voice did not come, so she pushed and reached inside by somehow opening the junk. After this he saw his wife covered in blood.

According to the information received, Ranjit’s second marriage was with Savita Devi. Ranjit’s first wife Shashi Devi died of illness in 2015. He was then married to Savita in 2018. Ranjit Mittal has three daughters and one son from Shashi Devi. All the children of Ranjit Mital used to stay outside. The husband and wife lived on the upper floor of the house. While the lower floor room is on rent. At present, the police has taken the body in possession and sent it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
