Many pairs of trains canceled due to fog: Change in trains going through Siwan station to Gorakhpur, decision taken due to bad weather

Several pairs of trains, including the special mail express train going from the railway station in Siwan to Nakahajangal via Gorakhpur, have been canceled due to change in weather.

Public Relations Officer of Varanasi Division of North Eastern Railway, Ashok Kumar has issued a press release saying that the open passenger train No. 05035 Siwan-Nakahajungal-Siwan from Siwan station will remain canceled from December 02, 2022 to February 28, 2023. 05036

Siwan-Nakahajungal-Siwan passenger train will remain canceled from December 02, 2022 to February 28, 2023. Passenger train number- 05155/05156 Gorakhpur-Chhapra-Gorakhpur will remain canceled from December 02, 2022 to February 28, 2023. Passenger train number- 05040/05039 Gorakhpur-Narkatiaganj-Gorakhpur will remain canceled from December 02, 2022 to February 28, 2023.

It may be noted that the cancellation of passenger trains has been taken by the Varanasi Railway Administration due to operational difficulties in view of the dense fog conditions that occur during the winter season.

It may be noted that earlier in the second press release, the railway administration has changed the starting and ending station of train number 19167/19168 Varanasi-Ahmedabad-Varanasi Sabarmati Express for the convenience of the passengers. This train will end its journey at Varanasi City station from December 14, 2022 and will leave from Varanasi City station from December 15, 2022 via Originate.

Train number-19167 Ahmedabad-Varanasi Sabarmati Express departing from Ahmedabad on December 12, 2022 will reach Varanasi Jn from December 14, 2022 as per the changed terminal. Will terminate its journey at Varanasi City station instead of . On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, this train will reach Varanasi Jn at 09:45 and leave at 09:55 and will terminate at Varanasi City station at 10:15.
