Mahrajganj News: Training workshop organized to facilitate Gem portal

Maharajganj News:
Government of India developed e-Marketplace (GEM) for government procurement, which is available at gem.gov.in, to increase the accessibility of the buyers, new facilities to be made available from time to time and time to time on the GEM portal- In order to provide information about the timely changes and to solve the difficulties faced in the use of the portal, a training program was organized by the State Gem Cell Lucknow on Monday in Maharajganj district.

The training program started at District Panchayat Resource Center, Dhaneva Ghanei, Maharajganj at 1 pm. In which Praveen Wadhwani, Nodal Officer Gem Uttar Pradesh and Arya Shrestha Assistant Nodal Officer Gem Uttar Pradesh informed the withdrawal-disbursement officers of all departments about the purchase process through the Gem portal. Both the officials explained in detail the precautions to be taken while making purchases through GeM.

Earlier, the program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by District Development Officer Rakesh Kumar Pandey, Chief Treasury Officer Shaligram, Deputy Commissioner Industries Abhishek Priyadarshi and other senior officers.
Addressing the workshop, the Chief Treasury Officer said that all the withdrawal-disbursement officers should keep their ID and password secret, so that they are not misused in purchases through the Gem portal. Initiate the process of purchase through the purchase committee only. He thanked the Industries Department for organizing the workshop and said that such workshops should be held at regular intervals so that the drawal-disbursement officers do not commit any mistake due to lack of knowledge.

Inaugurating the programme, Deputy Commissioner Industries welcomed all the officers and explained about the importance of GeM. He said that for all the departments, procurement through GeM, therefore workshop has been organized to explain the whole process and to answer the questions regarding GeM.
DIOS Amarnath Rai, DIO NIC Manoj Kumar, Jail Superintendent Prabhat Singh, Commandant Home Guard Vinghyachal along with withdrawal-disbursement officers of all departments and other concerned people were present in the workshop.
