Mahatma Gandhi reached junk from Arwal police station

The statue of Mahatma Gandhi, which was installed in Arwal Sadar police station in the decade of 75, is no longer visible. Bapu’s statue has been removed from the police station. Bapu has now reached the junk food from the police station. After the removal of Bapu’s statue from the police station, there has been a lot of political uproar, people of different political parties are condemning it, social workers have complained through letters to the Chief Minister and the Director General of Police.

At one time, after the independence of the country, Bapu’s statue was installed in Arwal police station, which was inaugurated by the commissioner of Magadh Commissionerate. Since then, every year on Bapu’s birthday, the police station president and other people pay homage to the statue by garlanding it. Used to offer Suman. Today, instead of Bapu’s statue, the police station’s car is now parked. Bapu’s statue was installed in the police station 45 years ago.

In the Quit India movement that started in 1942, on August 8, 1942, the local freedom fighters looted the Arwal police station. And for the first time in the country, the tricolor was hoisted in any police station premises. At that time the police station used to run in the hut and the watchman used to keep watch in the light of the lantern. Even today, the history of Arwal police station is mentioned on page number 205 in Bihar State Book book Atit Ke Bharat. In this, a revolutionary student Ram Krit Singh was also martyred by the bullet of the British in looting the Arwal police station.

Social activist Suyeb Alam said that this big atrocity has happened with Bapu and with the people who loved Bapu. The country follows the thoughts of Gandhi and considers him as the father of the nation. Tampering with the Gandhi statue installed in the police station premises is a matter of treason. He said that through a letter to the Chief Minister and the Director of Police, he has demanded to investigate the matter and take action.

The same Arun Bharti said that there should be a case of treason against the officials who commit such misdeeds. He said that removing the idol is a reprehensible act, we strongly condemn it. If action is not taken then agitation will be done.
