The winter season has now started in Uttar Pradesh. On one hand, the warning of dense fog continues in many districts of the state, while on the other hand the mercury has started diving below 10.
According to the weather bulletin released on Monday, Faizabad remained the coldest. The minimum temperature was recorded at 6.5 degrees Celsius, while most cities except Gorakhpur, Ballia and Basti saw the mercury below 10.
Churk (6.8), Meerut (7), Kanpur Nagar and Fursatganj (7.6), Muzaffarnagar (7.8) also remained below 8 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the maximum temperature has also started falling. In Aligarh, it decreased from 20 to 19.8 degrees. Elsewhere it remains between 21 to 28 degrees. The mercury in Banda was 28.4 degrees.
