    Kedarnath-Badrinath: PM Modi will give a gift of connectivity project of 3400 crores to Uttarakhand today, this is the specialty

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham on Friday. This will be his sixth visit to Kedarnath and second to Badrinath. During this, Governor Lt. General Gurmeet Singh (Sen.) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will also accompany him. PM Modi will spend the night in Badrinath for the first time. The Prime Minister will give a connectivity project of Rs 3400 crore to Uttarakhand.

    This also includes laying the foundation stone of ropeway projects for Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib. The government, Rudraprayag and Chamoli district administrations are busy preparing for the Prime Minister’s stay program. CM Dhami has taken stock of preparations in Kedarnath and Badrinath.

    Minister in-charge of Chamoli district, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Badrinath and Finance Minister Premchand Agarwal have reached Kedarnath. High officials of governance and administration have taken a front in Kedarnath and Badrinath. BJP state president, office bearers and workers have also left for Badrinath.

    Kedarnath Ropeway: It will be about 9.7 km long till Kedarnath Dham. It will connect Gaurikund with Kedarnath. The travel time between the two places will be reduced from 6-7 hours at present to around 30 minutes.
    Hemkund Ropeway: Will connect Govindghat with Hemkund Sahib. It will be approximately 12.4 km long and will reduce the travel time from a day to just 45 minutes. This ropeway will also connect Ghangaria, which is the gateway to the Valley of Flowers National Park.

    PM Modi will go to Kedarnath first

    PM Modi will reach Jolly Grant on Friday morning. After reaching Kedarnath at around 8.30 am, Baba will have darshan of Kedar. The foundation stone of Kedarnath ropeway project will be laid at around 9 am. Then Adiguru will visit Shankaracharya’s Samadhi Sthal. At around 09:25 am, Mandakini will review the progress of development works along the Aastha Path and Saraswati Aastha Path.

    Will review the progress of development works in Badrinath

    PM will reach Badrinath from Kedarnath. He will visit the temple of Lord Badrinath at around 11:30. He will review the progress of development works of the riverfront at 12 noon. He will lay the foundation stone of road and Hemkund Sahib ropeway projects in Mana village at 12:30 pm. After this, at around 2 pm, he will review the progress of the development works of the arrival plaza and lakes.

    Double lane road up to Mana and Malari

    PM will lay the foundation stone of double lane project of Mana to Mana Pass (NH-07) and Joshimath to Malari (NH-107B) frontier roads costing about Rs 1000 crore. All the projects, including both the roads of strategic importance, will cost Rs 3400 crore.
