Kanungo and Amin arrested for taking bribe in Sheikhpura: Surveillance team caught red handed while taking 70 thousand, took both of them to Patna

On Tuesday, a team led by DSP Pawan Kumar, the monitoring department, reached from Patna at Teus Panchayat Bhawan in Kashi Bigha village of Jairampur police station area under Barbigha block of the district. Arrested red handed while taking bribe from a farmer. Soon after the settlement department arrested both of them red-handed in the survey camp of land survey work in Panchayat Sarkar Bhawan, the surveillance team returned to Patna with them.

The surveillance team included two other DSPs Sameer Chandra Jha and Sujit Sagar. Sources said that a complaint was lodged in the monitoring department by a farmer named Dr Anjani Kumar. In the light of the same complaint, raids were conducted in the Panchayat Bhawan, laying siege. In this raid, Kanungo Sanjeet Kumar and Amin Soni Kumar have been caught taking bribe.

In this regard, Jairampur police station president cum police sub-inspector Manoj Kumar Jha told that he has received information about the raid by the surveillance team from other sources. He said that after the arrest of both of them by the surveillance team, information has been received about them going back to Patna. The local police did not get any idea of ​​this raid. Till now no information has been received about the farmer who complained to the monitoring department regarding this matter.

Sources said that in the past too there was a lot of controversy in this matter. The common people had also complained to the higher officials regarding this. In the Panchayat building, there was a case of offering land in the survey by collecting huge amount in public by Kanungo and Amin. The matter of taking money in the case of such survey in the district has been very much discussed. In the past, there was a fierce agitation from the block level to the farmers and people of various political parties regarding this.
