Jabalpur city corporation biggest budget: The city government with Congress tenure in Jabalpur presented a budget of 14 billion for the financial year 2023-24. It is being claimed that this is the biggest budget in the history of the Municipal Corporation of the state. Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh ‘Annu’ described the budget as city development and public welfare budget. He said that this historic budget has been prepared keeping in mind the overall development works, mainly on the lines of Haridwar, Gaurighat Ghats will be upgraded and beautified, ropeway from Madan Mahal to Sagda, Lamheta to Bhedaghat. Will be established, due to which the city of Jabalpur will also become a hub of world class tourism.

On the basis of the proposed budget, it has been claimed that the Ghats of Gauri Ghat will be upgraded and beautified on the lines of Haridwar. A ropeway will be established from Madan Mahal to Bhedaghat via Sagda, Lamheta, due to which Jabalpur city will also become a hub of world-class tourism. Similarly, on the lines of Indore metropolis, the citizens of Jabalpur city will be given the gift of Chhappan Bhog Market. The Mayor said that in this budget no taxes have been increased for the dignitaries of the city, while all the artists, sports lovers, litterateurs, businessmen, industrialists, as well as all other sections of the city have been taken care of.

It was told that along with important works, 48 ​​more development works are proposed in the budget, due to which the city will take the form of a metropolis. In this financial year 2023-2024, the total income is estimated at Rs 14 billion 03 lakh 21 thousand and the total expenditure is Rs 14 billion 01 lakh 96 thousand. And the total saving has been estimated at Rs 01 lakh 25 thousand. This year, on the recommendation of councillors, the Mayor will spend Rs 70 lakh each in 69 wards and an additional amount of Rs 10 lakh each in 10 wards in which rural areas were connected in the year 2015. For this, a provision of 56 crore 30 lakh has been made in the budget.
