Filariasis parasites are active only at night
District Vector Borne Disease Control Officer Dr Jai Prakash Singh said that the filariasis affected areas have been identified under night blood survey. There the blood of people above 20 years of age will be collected from 8:30 to 12 in the night. Only then will this blood sample be sent to the laboratory for testing. Because the presence of filarial parasites is detected in the blood. The parasites of Filariasis are active only at night, so night blood survey can provide accurate report information. With this, the potential patients of filariasis are properly treated.
