Initiative: 7 health sub-centres will be set up in every district and 5 in the Legislative Council

With the objective of providing better health facilities in rural areas, 7 health sub-centres are to be constructed from each Vidhansabha constituency and five from each Vidhan Parishad constituency. In this, such health sub-centres have to be selected which are functional but without building or dilapidated and government land is available. At present 265 out of 429 Health Sub Centers are running in rented houses. At the health sub-centre, the nurse is engaged in other work including vaccination. Regarding this, the Additional Chief Secretary had also written a letter to the DM in the month of October itself. It may be known that in the past also five APHCs were to be made assembly wise, although the availability of land etc. also remained a problem, due to which the construction work could not be started.
