    India-France: India-France defense talks from today, Rajnath Singh will co-chair

    Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will co-chair the India-France annual defense dialogue with his French counterpart Sébastien Lecornu. Important talks will be held in Delhi from 26 to 28 November. During this, decisions will be taken on many important issues including Rafale’s future deal, strategic partnership and bilateral relations.

    According to the Defense Ministry, this is the first visit of French Defense Minister Lecorne to India. He will also meet Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval separately. France has shown keen interest in India’s first indigenously built aircraft carrier INA Vikrant. Lecornu will also visit the Southern Naval Command at Kochi to visit Vikrant. France is a strategic partner with India since 1998. Both the countries are also cooperative in defense and arms and equipment.

    During the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue-2022 in Delhi on Friday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, it is our moral responsibility to build a better world. May this world be safe and fair for all. Rajnath Singh said, Indian philosophers have always considered the human community beyond political boundaries.

    He said, I believe that if a secure world becomes a collective endeavour, then we can think of creating a global order that is beneficial to all. Rajnath further said, the global community through several platforms and agencies is working and moving in this direction. The United Nations Security Council is at the forefront of this.

    It is my firm belief that if security becomes a truly collective enterprise, then we can think of creating a world order that is beneficial to all of us, he said, according to news agency PTI. The Defense Minister said that now we need to rise above the scope of collective security and go to the level of common interest and common security.
