Hyderabad Ram Navami: BJP official T Raja Singh has been arrested for making divisive comments at the Hyderabad Ram Navami rally. Tell them that Raja is a BJP MLA who has been dismissed. In response to T Raja Singh, a suspended BJP MLA, making contentious comments at a Ram Navami gathering in Hyderabad, the police have filed a complaint.
Charges under various IPC provisions
The Afzalganj police have charged them under Section 153-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language etc. Apart from this, a case has been registered against the suspended BJP MLA under IPC section 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).
Statement given during Ram Navami rally
The case has been registered on the basis of a complaint filed by SI J Veera Babu of Afzalganj police station. It said that Veera Babu was deputed to SA Bazar area during the Ram Navami rally to maintain law and order situation in the area in view of the outburst of the suspended BJP MLA.

According to IndiaToday reports on the allegation that a case has been registered against the suspended BJP MLA, constable Kirti Kumar recorded the BJP MLA’s hate speech on a video camera when the Ram Navami rally was near Shankar Sher Hotel , who had requested to take action against Raja Singh.
