Husband beat pregnant wife, died during treatment: Treatment was going on for 4 days, in-laws absconded after death

A pregnant wife was thrashed by the husband, due to which the wife suffered serious internal injuries. He died during treatment. The incident is of Sonarchak village of Salaya police station area. The deceased 23-year-old Shobha Devi was the wife of Ranjan Kumar, a resident of the same village. The family members are on the run since the incident.

Here, as soon as the information of the incident was received, the police took the dead body in their possession, completed the paperwork and sent it to Aurangabad Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. From where the body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem. After the incident, the family is in a bad condition.

Treatment was going on since the husband’s beating

Gopal Mistry, a resident of Sadhail village, the uncle of the deceased, said that he was married two years ago. Dowry was given as a gift at the time of marriage, but Shobha was always beaten up by her husband for demanding chains. Even after she became pregnant, she was beaten up. She was thrashed by her husband four days back. Since then he was undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, Shobha’s delivery took place. After which his condition worsened. He was taken to Madanpur Community Health Center for treatment. From where Gaya was referred to Magadha Medical College for better treatment.

Shobha died in Magadha Medical College itself. While the child also died during treatment at Madanpur Community Health Center. In this regard, Salaya police station said that the post-mortem of the dead body has been done. It will be clear only after the post-mortem report comes, how the woman died. Action will be taken against those found guilty in the case.
