Gurugram: A worker was killed and three others were injured after a portion of an old building collapsed after being buried under the rubble in Gurugram city. Police said that four workers were rescued from the debris. He said that the accident took place at around 8 am in Udyog Vihar Phase-1 area, when 12 laborers were engaged in the demolition of the building.
According to the police, the demolition work of the three-storey building was going on since September 26 and two storeys of the factory had been demolished. The accident happened due to the collapse of the roof of the last remaining floor. He said that after receiving information about the incident, police along with civil defense and fire brigade personnel reached the spot and started the rescue operation.
The accident happened in February too
A portion of the roof of an apartment collapsed in the Chintel Paradiso housing complex in Gurugram’s Sector 109, Haryana. There was panic when a part of a 6-storey building collapsed in the Dwarka Express Sector 109 sector of Gurugram, adjoining Delhi. Local police were informed soon after the accident.
According to news agency ANI, part of the roof of an apartment in the housing complex of Sector 109 of Gurugram has collapsed, in which 2 laborers have died and 5 to 6 people are reported to be trapped. It is being told that as soon as the information was given to the police and fire brigade, they immediately reached the spot. According to the information, this building was 3 to 4 years old. The society management had got the occupation certificate a few days back, due to which the workers were working here.
