GST raid in Virat Classes: Big coaching institute of the city accused of tax evasion of lakhs

On Thursday, the GST team raided a major coaching institute in the city. Where evidence related to tax evasion of lakhs of rupees has been found. The said coaching institute was being run illegally without registration. The matter is related to Virat Classes Coaching Center located on Tikri Road in the city. This raid was conducted under the leadership of zonal in-charge Sunil Kumar. For about three hours, GST officers scrutinized the documents in Virat Classes. Which was seized and instructed to be present in the office to the director of coaching.

Preparation for General Competitive Examination is done in the said coaching center. Coaching’s management head Anuj Kumar told that the GST team has conducted raids. Next day called in office, but we are not doing any wrong.

Raids will continue in tax evading educational institutions

Circle in-charge Sunil Kumar said that raids will continue in educational institutions involved in tax evasion. No one has the right to evade tax. More than two dozen coaching institutes across the district have been identified. Whose turnover is more than 20 lakhs and they are running tax evasion without registration.

However, action will be taken against the coaching institutes. Penalty will be imposed if any discrepancy is found. Zonal in-charge Sunil Kumar as well as State Tax Assistant Commissioners Sushil Kumar Suman, Manoj Kumar Pal, Sujit Kumar and Babita Kumari were involved in the raid.
