Gaya’s licensed weapon holders should get verification done by December 25: Administration extended last date for verification, decision taken due to body elections

In view of the civic elections, the district administration has issued an order for the verification of licensed weapons. Verification Till December 25, licensee can get their weapons verified.

In fact, preparations for the civic elections are going on in full swing. At the same time, every possible step is being taken by the administration from the point of view of security. Under this, the process of verification of licensed arms has started in the district. Earlier, the date for verification was fixed from November 15 to December 3. But the district administration has extended the last date for verification. It has been said that the arms license holders, who have been left out from verification due to any reason, can get all their weapons verified by December 25.

It has been said that the arms holders should coordinate with the police station heads of their area and get the weapons verified. Along with the arms, the cartridges will also be compulsorily verified. Physical verification of all is mandatory. Apart from this, all the police station heads of the district have been told by the administration that they will not delay in this work. Will prepare the data by verifying the arms holders coming for physical verification of weapons in the police station with immediate effect.

Significantly, the civic body elections are being conducted in two phases in the district. Elections are to be held on December 18 under the first phase and on December 28 under the second phase. Keeping in view the dates of both the phase elections, the district administration has fixed December 25 as the last date for verification of weapons.
