Sitamarhi police has seized cannabis worth Rs 4.25 crore. He has also arrested two ganja traders. According to the information received on Monday, on the basis of secret information, Riga police station of the district has taken the above action. The police had received a tip-off that some smuggler was carrying marijuana from Riga for smuggling. It is being told that both of them had brought ganja from Nepal on this border. From where both of them were being brought in Scorpio.
1 quintal 70 kg ganja recovered
On whose information the police stopped a Scorpio on the basis of suspicion near the petrol pump located in Imli Bazar, in which two youths were sitting. Police searched the vehicle in which 1 quintal 70 kg ganja was recovered. The police took both the youths along with Scorpio to the police station. While asking at the police station, the businessmen told that, he was going to deliver a big businessman living in Benipur of Runnisaidpur police station area.
Hemp worth 4.25 crores in the international market
Meanwhile, the Scorpio number JH- 04B- 7335 coming from Majorganj side was stopped by the police. In which 1.25 kg ganja was recovered along with both the youths. Whose price in the international market is being estimated at Rs 4 crore 25 lakh. Both the arrested youths have been identified as Mohammad Danish, son of Mohammad Chhote, resident of Barharwa village under Bajpatti police station area of the district and Sujit Thakur, son of Madan Thakur. Both the youths have been sent to jail in judicial custody by the police.
