In Saran, a gang rape victim sat on a dharna for justice. Along with him, many other people were also seen pleading for justice outside the collectorate with placards in their hands. In fact, on the evening of 5 September, 3 boys gang-raped the victim sitting on a dharna for justice. After the arrival of the mother 3 days after the incident, she reached the police station to file a complaint. The victim alleges that initially there was delay in writing the FIR in the police station, now the pace of action is very slow. The matter is of Dariyapur police station area.
When there was no hearing on the cruelty, she sat on a dharna with the people of the village. Due to the strike, there was a traffic jam around the Saran Collectorate. Later the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police took cognizance in the matter. Meeting the rape victim, heard her complaint and assured a hearing in the fast track court. After which the strike was called off. People are praising this bold step of the victim.
In the hope of justice, the gang-rape victim staged a sit-in outside the Saran Collectorate.
FIR not registered for 3 days
Regarding the incident, the victim told that on September 5, while going to the toilet in the evening, three youths of the village forcibly picked her up and raped her. She was alone at home during the incident. As soon as she came to her mother’s house on September 8, she gave full information about the incident. After this she went to the local police station to register an FIR. But for three days an FIR was not registered on the pretext. Later an FIR was registered, but the police is showing slowness in the name of action.

The villagers sitting on the dharna told that even after 27 days of the incident, only one accused has been arrested, the remaining 2 are absconding. People have demanded the hanging of the culprits. The victim has already met the Superintendent of Police and pleaded for justice. Now angered by the lateness of the police, she sat on a dharna along with the people in the village on Sunday.
