If caught taking single use plastic in the market, then fine will have to be paid for that too. 100 rupees if caught for the first time, 200 rupees if caught for the second time, 500 rupees if caught for the third time. For the commercial use of single use plastic, a fine of Rs 1,500 will be imposed for the first time, then Rs 2,500 and thereafter Rs 3,500 as fine.
For burning plastic waste in the open, a fine of Rs 2000 will be charged for the first time, Rs 3000 for the second time and Rs 5000 for the third time. Spreading plastic waste in public places like parks, drains, archaeological sites and other prohibited places will attract a fine of Rs 1000 for the first time, Rs 1500 for the second time, Rs 2000 for the third time. Every person responsible for organizing any sports event or collecting more than Rs 100 without informing the municipal area will be fined Rs 1500, Rs 2000 and Rs 2500 for the third time.
There will be a complete ban on decoration items made of polystyrene (thermocol) for decoration. Plastic cups, plates, glasses, cutlery such as forks, spoons, knives, straws, trays, stirrers as well as plastic films wrapped around sweet boxes, invitation cards, cigarette packets and plastics of thickness less than 100 microns Or PVC banners will be banned in urban areas. There will be a complete ban on the manufacture, import, storage, distribution, sale and use-storage, sale of any type of single-use plastic items.
