Fighting in the election victory procession in Rohtas’s Nokha: 6 people injured, dispute over burning firecrackers

The result of the election of Nokha Municipal Council of Rohtas came out on Tuesday. After the victory, there was a controversy over bursting firecrackers in a procession taken out by a ward councilor on Tuesday evening, which turned into a fight, in which half a dozen people were injured. Two injured have been referred to Sadar Hospital, Sasaram.

The incident is of Nagar Parishad ward number 18 of Nokha police station area. It is being told about the incident that a procession was taken out in support of the newly elected ward councilor Ali Sher Ansari after winning the election of ward number 18. In which Munna Kumar opposed the release of crackers in Raghunathpur village.

A scuffle started between the two sides, in which 5 people were seriously injured. In which Munna Kumar and Mayadevi, deputy chief councilor candidates of Nokha Municipal Council from one side and Hasan Sher Ansari, Shamsher Ansari, brothers of ward members from the other side were injured. All the injured have been referred to Sasaram for better treatment after first aid from the Primary Health Center.

It is noteworthy that Munna Kumar was the candidate for Deputy Chief Councilor of Nokha Municipal Council, but he lost the election. There was a dispute between the two sides in the past as well. Today again there was a fight in the election procession. Police reached the spot and are investigating the matter.
