An elderly person died on the spot during a fight between two parties in a land dispute from Dharampur Bande village under Patori police station area of Samastipur district. In relation to the incident, it is told that the land dispute was going on with the family members of Arjun Jha for the past several years. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, a tu-tu-main-main started between the two sides and the matter turned into a fight.
During the fight, an elderly person died on the spot. The local people, thinking that the said old man was alive, brought him to Patori sub-division hospital in a hurry. Where doctors declared dead. The deceased was identified as Virendra Jha, a resident of Dharampur Bande village under Patori police station area. As soon as the information about the incident was received, Patori police reached the spot and investigated the matter and sent the dead body to Sadar Hospital Samastipur for postmortem.
On the other hand, Rekha Devi, wife of Arjun Jha, from the other side says that Virendra Jha was already suffering from heart disease. There was no attack on Virendra Jha. We have been attacked with bricks and stones by his own family members. The Patori police also took Rekha Devi into custody and got her admitted to the Patori subdivision hospital and is getting her treated. Also making inquiries.
