Fierce fire in shop and house in Patna’s Bairia: goods worth lakhs of rupees destroyed, gas leaking became the reason for the fire

Suddenly a fire broke out in a grocery shop in Bairia Karanpura under Gopalpur police station of Patna on Tuesday evening. In no time, the fire engulfed the grocery store and the house. As soon as the information about the fire was received, there was an atmosphere of chaos. People around informed this to Gopalpur police station. As soon as the information was received, the police and fire brigade vehicle of Gopalpur police station controlled the fire after hours of effort, meanwhile all the goods kept in the grocery store and household goods worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed by fire.

The people around said that the cause of the fire was a gas leak. Local people told that there used to be gas refilling work at the shop. Meanwhile, a spark engulfed the entire shop and the house. Some people also told that the fire broke out due to sudden leakage of gas while cooking in the house. However, the police of Gopalpur police station refused to give any reason for the fire in this case, saying that no written application has been received by anyone so far.

Gopalpur police station in-charge Abhishek Ranjan said that on Tuesday night suddenly fire was reported in Amarjit Singh’s house and shop. After getting the information, the fire brigade vehicle was sent there. The fire was brought under control after hours of struggle with the help of the local people and the fire engine, meanwhile goods worth lakhs of rupees kept in the shop and the house were destroyed by fire.
