The woman was the contractor of child laborers

The special thing is that till now only men used to be the contractors among the child labourers. But in this case a woman has come forward as a contractor of child labour. The victim has given a complaint against the same woman and her husband in the police station, but the case has not been registered yet. The aggrieved party says that his son has been murdered in the bangle factory of Hyderabad.

Here, Sherghati Police Station President Rajkishore Singh says that the police is probing the matter at its own level. The search is on for the upcoming contractor who employs child labour. They say that ten months ago, Sudhir Manjhi and Hiramani Manjhi, the contractors of Mahuawan village under Amas police station area, had taken 15 children to Hyderabad from our village. One of them was my son Vilas Kumar. He had said that he would teach the children there and also teach them some skills. Also will give 5000 rupees in a month. Believing his words, the people of the village sent the children out.

Took 15 children to Hyderabad, promised Rs 5000 a month

Sachu Manjhi says that five thousand did not come every month, but the dead body of son Vilas definitely came home at around 26:30 on the night of November 26. Told that Hiramani Devi came to the river bank in our village Samda and called from there to inform that Vilas was dead. His body is in the bag. Come and take it away, otherwise they will throw it in the river and go away. We villagers unitedly reached the river bank and caught Hiramani and her husband Sudhir and a driver and handed them over to the Sherghati police. Vilas’s father Sachu Manjhi says that when the assailants refused to take the bag containing the dead body, he threatened that what was to happen now has happened. Now if you don’t take the bag, the other children in Hyderabad will also be killed.

Sachu Manjhi says that the policemen kept all three of them in custody overnight and threatened us in many ways. On which we came home with the dead body of our son and also cremated him. There the police left them. But when it was not understood as to how Vilas died, he again reached the shelter of the police.

Sachu Manjhi says that the children working in the bangle factory have told that Vilas died due to beating. He has been mercilessly beaten up there. He was insisting on coming home. But he was not being allowed to come. Here the representative of Center Direct says that our name should not be disclosed in this matter. Because the child labor contractors start threatening in various ways. It is very difficult to work. He told that he has to make efforts to get the case done. Till now the case number has not been provided by the police station.
