Excise department’s big action in Gopalganj: 20 smugglers and 65 alcoholics arrested, all sent to jail

In Gopalganj, the excise department has arrested 20 smugglers and 65 alcoholics. The department has conducted raids in different areas of the district. At present, the team has registered a case under the Excise Act against the arrested smugglers and alcoholics and sent them to jail.

Arrested people sent to jail

In fact, in Gopalganj, the team of Excise Department conducted joint raids with the team of Excise Department of Siwan district and raided the border areas of the district including Ekdanga, Bhengari, Kot Narhawan, Balthari Checkpost, Jalalpur, Manjha, Mirganj, Bakhraur. During this, the team arrested 65 people who were consuming alcohol. During this, 20 smugglers have also been arrested and sent to jail. In this case, Excise Superintendent Rakesh Kumar said that as per departmental instructions, joint raids were conducted with the team of Excise Department of Siwan district under Nodal Raid, in which 20 smugglers and 65 alcoholics have been arrested and sent to jail.
