This council will take decisions related to content moderation. A decision will be taken to restore the closed accounts only after the review of this council.
Elon Musk made a few tweets after completing the deal with Twitter on Friday. In one of these, he informed that some changes will be seen in Twitter soon. He said that there would be a Content Moderation Council with widely diversified perspectives, which would take decisions related to content moderation. Musk said in his tweet that the content moderation council will only review the review to restore the accounts of consumers that were closed before the acquisition. This review will be done by the Content Moderation Council. The accounts will be reinstated only on the basis of the council’s decision.
After this announcement by Elon Musk, a user asked that if this is so, then why did you restore Kanye West’s account again? Twitter should not become a platform for spreading racism and anti-Semitism. To this question, Elon Musk replied through tweet. He wrote that yes, that account was restored by Twitter prior to the acquisition. He did not consult me in this regard nor did he give any information.
