DRM Yatrendra Kumar of Malda Division of Eastern Railway arrived at Bhagalpur railway station to inspect for the last time on Friday. Yatendra Kumar’s tenure of 2 years 11 months is going to end now. Yatendra Kumar has been transferred from here. After which Vikas Choubey will take charge here in the next two to three days. When Yatendra Kumar reached Bhagalpur Junction for the last time, he looked very emotional during this. He told that after receiving the transfer notification, I had a curiosity to come to Bhagalpur railway station for the last time and meet here and inform everyone.

While talking to the media, he told that I did many development works while working in Bhagalpur. Now when new DRMs come, they will take forward the workload of Bhagalpur and Malda divisions. He told that we had taken the initiative to open a restaurant in two bogies of the train. The work which is almost done. Now waiting for some entrepreneur from outside who will open it. Then apart from the passengers, people outside can also enjoy the food of the train.

At the same time, he told that the MLAs and MPs of this area had proposed for the operation of many trains. In that, we have sent their proposal to the Railway Board, in which 10 to 12 more trains including Rajdhani were demanded to operate on this route.
