Devotees queue up at Goddess temples in Patna: Temples decorated with colorful lighting, devotional songs made the atmosphere devotional

Along with the Badi Patan Devi temple of Patna City, there was a crowd of devotees for Lakshmi Puja in Devalayam in urban and rural areas. Earlier, all the surroundings including Badi Patan Devi Temple were decorated with colorful lights and beautiful marigold flowers. Devotional songs playing in loudspeakers everywhere made the whole atmosphere in devotion.

Beginning of Lakshmi Puja with conch shell and Vedic chanting was seen in the temples from Monday evening. A large number of women worshiped in the temple. Along with this, the whole city was decorated with colorful lights.

Mahant Vijay Shankar Giri of Badi Patan Devi Temple told that every year on the occasion of Lakshmi Puja, there is a long queue of devotees here. At dusk, the process of lighting the lamp of the devotees starts, which continues till late in the night. Along with this, a huge statue of Maa Kali was built in the place of Phulwarisharif Durga.

The entire Durgasthan was decorated with beautiful lights and flowers. Devotional songs playing in loudspeakers everywhere made the whole atmosphere devotional. People of urban and rural areas worship Goddess Lakshmi by lighting earthen lamps in their homes. It is believed that on this day, along with cleaning the house, colorful lights and lamps are lit, Goddess Lakshmi arrives.
