EOU team investigating inside Vibha Kumari’s flat.
Vibha Kumari, deputy director of higher education, is accused of rampant corruption. Under this charge, the Economic Offenses Unit has started action against Vibha Kumari on Saturday. Raids are going on at their three places. So far, a lot has been received from his flat at Shaguna Mor in Danapur. According to the officials of the EOU, till now about 2.25 lakh rupees in cash has been recovered from the flat of Vibha Kumari. Along with this, a total of 12 passbooks of different bank accounts have been recovered. Along with this, the bank locker has also been found. At the same time, the documents of many properties purchased have also been in hand.
Travel agency in husband’s name
The biggest thing is that Vibha Kumari is the owner of 5 luxury vehicles. These include vehicles like Innova, Scorpio and Ertiga. The shocking thing is that the EOU has claimed that these vehicles have been bought entirely on cash payment. There is no evidence of any vehicle being bought on loan. Actually, Ashok Kumar Sharma is the husband of Vibha Kumari. A travel agency runs in his name. Now the investigation is going on whether the vehicles under the travel agency run for government offices or are being run privately.
So far, about 2.25 lakh rupees in cash has been recovered from the flat of Vibha Kumari.
Vibha has been the DEO of Darbhanga
Vibha Kumari’s current posting is at Patna. His office is in Vikas Bhawan. Prior to this, his posting was in Darbhanga as District Education Officer (DEO). It is alleged that he had misused his position fiercely in Darbhanga. Earned a lot of money illegally by doing corruption. When the complaint was received, the EOU investigated and registered a case of disproportionate assets of Rs 1.90 crore against them. After which today the team raided their three places. His in-laws’ house at Dharampur village in Vaishali’s Dharampur village and his office at Secretariat, flat number 301 of Vasikunj Complex apartment near Shaguna Mor in Danapur, are being searched.
