These days, Chinese lamps burning with water in the Patna City market have dashed the hopes of the potters. In the festival of Deepawali, darkness has started pouring in the house of the potter who lights the houses of others with diyas. On the other hand, the family members of the potter say that this inflation has further weakened their economic condition. Secondly, due to lack of employment, they are forced to do traditional business.

After years of waiting for the festival, they make diyas by working in the hot sun. From above, the sale of earthen lamps and toys is very less. Also, the proportion of hard work is not getting proper amount. In today’s era, people are running their business by buying limited lamps to fulfill the old tradition and beliefs. The potters are hoping for patronage from the new government, so that their condition improves. On the other hand, the seller selling Chinese diyas says that the sale of water diyas is more.
