As soon as the air improves, the Central Air Quality Management Commission (CAQM) has decided to remove the fourth phase of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAPE) by meeting on Sunday. In view of this, the Environment Department of the Government of Delhi has called a joint meeting at the Delhi Secretariat on Monday. There is a possibility that the restrictions imposed in the fourth phase can be relaxed in the meeting.

The CAQM had on November 3 recommended the implementation of the fourth phase of Grape restrictions in case the wind turns severe. Under this, all types of construction work in Delhi-NCR was stopped.

At the same time, the Delhi government had banned the entry of trucks except BS-6 diesel-powered ones in Delhi as soon as the wind became severe. However, in the meantime, exemptions were given to electric and CNG trucks. At the same time, under the ban, outdoor activities were banned for the students of classes above fifth. Also, work from home was implemented in government offices with 50 percent capacity.

According to the CAQM, as per the forecast of the Air Standard Agencies, the wind is not likely to deteriorate for the next three days. In such a situation, it has been decided to remove Grape-4. However, in the meantime the rules from grades one to three will remain in force.
