Jamshedpur News: During the terminal examination of the school in Jharkhand, a student, Ritu Mukhi, who committed suicide after being tested after opening her clothes on suspicion of cheating, died on Thursday night. jamshedpur A Class IX student of K Shardamani Girls’ School had set herself ablaze by pouring kerosene on her return home from school on October 14. He was being treated at Tata Men’s Hospital in Jamshedpur. Locals are furious over the death of the girl student. In view of the tension, the district administration has deployed security forces from the hospital to the funeral site. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon.
CM Soren instructed to provide all possible help
Jamshedpur Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav reached Tata Men’s Hospital after receiving the news of the student’s death. A medical board was constituted in the night itself and the post-mortem of the girl’s body was done. Taking cognizance of the incident, Chief Minister Hemant Soren had directed the Deputy Commissioner to provide all possible help to the victim’s family and provide better treatment to the girl student.
Investigating teacher in jail
Meanwhile, the police has already arrested Chandra Das, a teacher who got the girl’s clothes taken off in the name of checking copying. School principal Geeta Rani Mahato has been suspended.
According to the statement of the student, during the terminal examination of the school, teacher Chandra Das caught her on the charge of chitting, she slapped her in front of everyone. Despite the protest, they searched him by taking off his clothes in front of everyone. No chit was found from him, but he was taken to the principal’s room. She felt humiliated and ashamed by this incident. So, after returning home from school in the evening, he set himself on fire by sending his sisters to a neighbour’s house. Hearing his scream, the family and the neighbors ran. The fire was doused by pouring water on the girl surrounded by flames. After this he was admitted to Tata Main Hospital in critical condition.
