Manila : About 100 people lost their lives in this year’s worst storm in the Philippines, while many people are still missing. Officials gave this information on Monday. Officials said that out of 98 people who lost their lives, at least 53 people lost their lives in incidents caused by floods and landslides.

These people belonged to Maguindanao in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region. The typhoon wreaked havoc in a large part of the archipelago, though it reached the South China Sea outside the country on Sunday. According to the government’s premier disaster response agency, 69 people are injured and at least 63 others are missing.
