In a private nursing home located at Line Bazar, Bihar Talkies Road, Purnia, on Friday, the patient died on the operation Threater due to giving overdose to the patient during the operation of the throat gland. On hearing the news of the death, the family members became furious and started creating ruckus in the nursing home. Seeing this, the doctors and all the staff of the hospital fled from there. The family started protesting by placing the dead body on Bihar Talkies Road and blocked the road for about 3 hours. The family started demanding the arrest of the doctor and compensation.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Rahil (27 years) resident of Lalganj Milky under Maranga police station area. The family told that there was a gullet near Rahil’s neck. Dr Ajay Kumar was shown at Jeevan Hospital. The doctor said to have an operation. On Friday, he was taken to the operation theater and sedated. But the patient died during the operation due to an overdose of anesthesia. The family has accused the doctor of negligence.

At the same time, the police suddenly lathi-charged the people protesting by blocking the road. Which caused a stir. More than half a dozen people were injured due to the indiscriminate lathi charge of the police. The protesters fled on seeing the police. But the police thrashed the innocent people on the way. Even the media personnel doing news coverage were not spared. The mobiles of many media personnel were snatched and broken and thrashed brutally with sticks. Due to which media personnel were also injured. It is being told that media personnel had written the news against former SP Daya Shankar. The police was angry with the media about this matter.
