Dearness allowance of government employees increased by 4 percent in Bihar: Nitish government’s gift before Diwali-Chhath, 21 agendas sealed in cabinet meeting

Bihar government has given good news for government employees. Dearness allowance of state employees has been increased before Diwali-Chhath. With effect from July 1, 2022, 38 per cent dearness allowance has been approved instead of 34 per cent for the salary earners and pensioners of Bihar government. This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting today.

A total of 21 agendas have been stamped in the cabinet meeting today. Declaring 96 blocks of 11 districts as drought-hit, grant-in-aid amounting to Rs. 3500 per affected families was sanctioned. In view of drought, approval has been given for the withdrawal and expenditure of Rs.

What were the other major decisions?

In the cabinet meeting, approval has been given to extend the agreement period of a total of 3953 retired soldiers working in SAP for 2022-23. In Bihar’s Directorate of Probation, approval has been given for the posts of additional 97 lower class clerks, 30 upper class clerks and 10 head clerks i.e. a total of 137 additional clerical cadre posts. More than 5 crore 25 lakh will be spent on this every year.

To make prohibition of liquor a success, approval has been given to create 905 additional posts of different categories of Bihar Prohibition Under Service. With the approval of these posts, patrol teams will be formed in Patna district, two in Bhagalpur, two in West Champaran and other districts. Who will raid the liquor mafia. Adequate officers and liquor prohibition constables can also be posted in the total 16 check posts working in the border districts.

Amendments to make investment promotion policy effective

The Bihar government has made some amendments to make the investment promotion policy effective. IT Park, Call Centre, Online Examination Center and Electronic Fabrication, Startup Co-working Space and Startup Hub, Warehouse and Logistic Park and Research Live in the service sector by amending the policy. The government will allot the land of Biada to all of them. The period for receiving incentive amount has been increased from 5 years to 7 years for units having project more than 200 crores. The State Incentive Investment Board, headed by the Development Commissioner, has been authorized to take a decision on investment proposals less than two crores.

Allotment to BPSC for conducting examinations

For the conduct of various examinations in 2022-23, the Bihar Public Service Commission has decided to approve and withdraw Rs 4 crore in advance. In compliance of the order passed in the Supreme Court in Sunil Kumar Verma Vs Bihar and others on 12 September 2022, the government has decided to re-appoint Sunil Kumar Verma from District Judge under Direct Recruitment 2016. A total of 1420 teacher-non-teaching staff posts created earlier for 22 proposed government colleges of Bihar have been extradited. Along with this, a total of 1420 posts of teachers and non-teaching staff have been approved in various universities. As a result, action can be taken for the appointment of teachers in newly established colleges.
